A well-known figure to the schoolchildren in America, Betsy Ross, was called a woman who created the first flag of the United States. This is said to be done on the orders of George Washington. However, Ross did not participate in the making of the first flag. She is an addition to the tale. This doesn’t mean she has no connection with the flag. She did sew a few flags.
The famous fable says that the Congress committee approached Ross and asked her to design a flag based on their idea. There’s hardly any proof to it. Ross’s shop and Ross herself were heavily twined to the creation of the national flag. This is a sweet fable that exists. Ross is seen as a guiding light in American culture.
