Hawaii is already a popular holiday destination visited by thousands every year. Did you know that there are hordes of buried treasure sites across the state, too, though? According to legends, there are too many to name! One of the rumors that have generated the most excitement is that of the burial chamber of King Kamehameha, who died in 1819. They say it contains robes made from feathers of extinct birds, as well as valuable gems. Treasure hunters have been searching for this chamber for decades.
Also, in 1790, King Kamehameha’s army slaughtered most of the Maui warriors. They dumped their bodies in the Iwao Stream. Treasure hunters believe that they can find plenty of exciting relics and artifacts from this battle by searching in this area. So far, they haven’t found much, but the hope is strong!
